Integral proud to support Women in Engineering as part of Tomorrow's Engineers Week. #WESLottieTour
100 years of women in engineering - then and now
100 years ago women in our industry were few and far between, but throughout our business we now have an increasing number of women in engineering operations management roles, health and safety, and key account management. In fact National Director and Head of Health and Safety at Integral, Allison Connick, was recently announced as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women In Engineering. While things are gradually changing, we would love more young girls and women to become engineers!
technology as a tool
Our engineers use a variety of tools every day to maintain and fix things for our clients, keeping buildings operating efficiently and ensuring environments are safe and compliant. However, these days we are also using technology to complement traditional tools.
apprenticeships in engineering
Here at Integral, we have a long tradition of offering #apprenticeships to our #engineering workforce as a way of recruiting and developing staff. In more recent times we have expanded from the traditional trade apprenticeships, to also provide a range of #business, #customer service, team leader and #management apprenticeship qualifications from Levels 2 to 5.
technology as an enabler
The rapid acceleration of technology over the last 100 years is what has made the biggest difference to our business. It is enabling us to provide increasingly efficient and innovative solutions for our clients. Lottie has learned how we are embracing technology in many ways.
planning for success
Integral Build offer full in-house design and build project capability, ranging from new builds, refurbishments, extensions and interior fitouts. Lottie attended a Friday afternoon internal meeting on Musgrove Park Hospital to talk through key challenges for the week associated with Pre-construction.
